- In many machines, the ROM0 and ROM1 markings on the board are backwards.
- Try putting swaping the chips around, so that ROM1 goes in the ROM0 socket,
- and vice-versa. I encaountered this with a friends machine, when I
- upgraded him from softkick to 2.04 ROMs when he got his 040 card some years
- back.
